Sushi rolls were huge. The rice and fish ratio were perfect. We got the Pink roll, Poway roll and dynamite. Everything was delicious. Our server was attentive. She would refill our water and ginger. It's a good ambiance for friends to hang out. I saw a sign on the table that if you come between 3 and 5pm, you get 20% off.
A sushi place first, but they also have teriyaki and ramen. Today, I ordered the vegetable roll and avocado roll. I know sushi can be filling, but I ate it all! The Wasabi and ginger was shared amongst my party of 6. Service was attentive, and they quickly accommodated our party of 6, even though the sixth person was a surprise to me, and I asked for a table for 5.
Small entrance but spacious inside. Menu has lots of options. I had a "Fire" baked sushi roll and tempura--sauce-heavy but filling, shrimp was good, zucchini bitter. My husband had sashimi, which looked less fresh but tasted fine. Overall, 6-7/10. Wasabi tasted off, like bean powder. Average spot, decent for North County.
I need a really big fan like this is my future home. Ambiance is cute very Japanese. Sushi is SO GOOD!!!!! Would recommend deep fried phil, heart attack roll, Kimmy & blossom. Also look how extra their wasabi is. Beer is great as usual. The server was hard working as she was by herself and handled the stressful situation well. Also where can I buy this fan????
4 stars for the food and service, 1 star for the cleanliness. The hostess was the friendliest and seated us promptly. She reminded me of Erin from the show The Office :) Upon sitting down my arms were stuck to the surface of the table. I looked down on the floor and could immediately spot trash and see where things hadn't been cleaned in a while. There were fingernails that were visible and dusty as well. Menus also had a scent like they aren't wiped down regularly. The food was really good with the exception of the spicy yellowfin wonton tacos, which even after notifying the waitress that I didn't like them, she still chose to leave on my tab and made me pay for (I had one bite and left the whole thing). Other than that, flavor was great with all the rolls we had. I want to say I'd come back, but cleanliness is a huge factor for me and I'm not sure right now.
